


Nathan Carey began teaching music lessons in late 2005 with "Impact Performing Arts", an educational and ministry oriented program, directed by Cynthia Ford. In addition to teaching, Nathan has been leading worship. He has faithfully served in a number of area churches as a minister of music. Nathan currently is the worship director at GraceLife Church in Avon. When he is not teaching or leading worship, Nathan enjoys writing, studying, and traveling.

Amy Cloninger is our third and fourth grade teacher. She graduated from Houghton College with her bachelor's degree in elementary education with a concentration in mathematics. She then received her master's in curriculum development and instructional technology from SUNY Albany. When she is not teaching at GCCS or volunteering in the children's ministry at her church, Amy enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, painting, and family gatherings.

Cindy Dalton comes to us from Lima Christian School. There, she taught visual arts and American Sign Language to middle and high school students for twenty years. She studied studio arts and ceramics at RIT and became a professional interpreter for the deaf. Cindy enjoys spending time with family and sharing her love for art.

Roseanne lives in Leicester with her husband and two daughters. Both of her daughters attended the preschool program at GCCS, which led to her becoming involved with volunteering in the classroom and eventually becoming the Preschool Aide. S,he has enjoyed her time at GCCS working with the preschool children, helping in other areas of the school and being able to teach the children to praise God in a wonderful, caring, educational environment. The best part of working at GCCS for Roseanne is the community, the families, the staff and the children that have made her feel welcomed.

Betsy Flickner is the principal at Genesee Country Christian School. She has BS and MS degrees in elementary education from SUNY Geneseo and has taught superbly at GCCS for a decade. Here she has innovated in her classroom, mentored other teachers, and taken on additional responsibilites, fueling the school's success. She has shown dedication both to her students and to excellence in Christ-focused education. Betsy has four grown children and now four grandchildren and is an active member of Faith Fellowship Church in Livonia.

Katie James graduated from Nyack College where she received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and minor in Biblical Studies. When she isn't teaching or involved in children's ministries at her church, Katie enjoys reading, traveling, and adventuring.

Fay Kennell is the business manager at GCCS. Her Associate's degree is in business administration and she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from San Jose State University. Fay and her husband are the parents of two daughters; both of which are current GCCS students. When she isn't working, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, and reading.

Nancy has been a volunteer at GCCS for several years in the classroom and in chapel, bringing in live animals and teaching students about God's creatures as a Wildlife Rehabilitator. She is a grandma to one of the students here and has recently joined the office staff.

Gwen Lepkowski is our Spanish teacher. She graduated from Houghton College with her Bachelor of Science in elementary education and received her Master of Education from SUNY Buffalo. Gwen has taught pre-K, 2nd, and 3rd grades, 4th-6th grade migrant children, and junior high and high school Spanish. In her free time, Gwen enjoys writing (published), music, reading, outdoor activities, and spending time with her husband and two sons.

Tiffany Longacre graduated from Cazenovia College with a BS in Inclusive Elementary Education. She also received her MS in Reading and Literacy from SUNY Geneseo. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, and reading.

Belinda Murphy has been teaching at GCCS since its inception. Belinda has taught both pre-school and art, but is currently the school's kindergarten teacher. Belinda holds a Master's degree in education from Alfred University and her undergraduate work was completed at SUNY Oswego. She is certified to teach both elementary and art education. In her spare time, Belinda enjoys reading, painting, and spending time with her family.

Carmen Rechberger is a graduate of Penn State University, where she studied music education with a focus in elementary and middle school band. In addition to her work at GCCS, Carmen works as a substitute for several local school districts. Carmen enjoys baking, reading, and playing piano.

Stefanie Shisler is the school's physical education teacher and computer teacher. Stefanie received her Masters of Science in physical education from SUNY Brockport. In her spare time Stefanie coaches track and runs a Christian youth group. Stefanie enjoys spending time with her husband and their young daughters.

Julie Shutt is our Preschool Teacher. She resides in Conesus with her husband and two children on their hobby farm. Julie is a graduate of Roberts Wesleyan College with a Bachelors Degree in Childhood Education and Masters Degree in Literacy.

Principal from 1996 until 2016, Susan Teitsworth currently serves as Librarian and Director of Professional Development. She has over thirty years of experience as an educator in public and private schools. Susan attended SUNY Fredonia and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in education from SUNY Geneseo, where she also completed her graduate studies. Susan lives on the family farm outside Geneseo with her husband, Roy. They are the parents of three grown children and grandparents of six. In her spare time she enjoys reading, travel, and spending time with her family.

Our first and second grade teacher, Ann Willey, is a SUNY Geneseo graduate. She completed her Bachelor of Science in elementary and special education and continued to earn her master's in reading. Prior to being a GCCS teacher, Mrs. Willey had experience teaching almost every grade from kindergarten through twelfth grade. In addition to being a GCCS teacher, she is a parent of two girls who attend GCCS. When asked why Ann chooses to be a part of the GCCS family she says, "I greatly appreciate the education my children are receiving at GCCS and the loving teachers who care for and nurture my daughters. I am proud to be a GCCS educator."

Matthew Young is a graduate of SUNY Geneseo and holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in both English and political science. He earned his Master of Education for Teaching and Learning English from Liberty University. When not in the classroom, Matt enjoys writing, spending time in his garden, cheering for the Red Sox, and spending time with his wife and their three boys.
